Anders Zorn (1860-1920) was a Swedish painter, sculptor, and etching artist. He began as a watercolor artist and then switched to oil in his late 20s. Zorn was a prolific painter and depicted many subjects, including Swedish nobility and three American Presidents. He is most famous for his nude paintings and self-portraits. Many artists know Zorn by his famous 4-color palette that he used to achieve great tonal range and realism in all of his artworks. He used the same palette for both figure and landscape painting.
