A split primary palette is a color mixing system that involves using two sets of primary colors: warm and cool versions of each primary color.
In traditional color theory, the primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. These colors are considered the fundamental building blocks of all other colors because they cannot be created by mixing other colors together.
In a split primary palette, the warm and cool versions of each primary color are used to create a wider range of colors and more nuanced color mixing. Using a split primary palette allows artists to mix more accurate colors and create more subtle color transitions. It also allows for more control over the temperature (warm or cool) of the colors being mixed.
