All convenience colors in one set! Most convenience colors are made with the use of two pigments each; Neutral Tint is made of three pigments, and Sepia is made with four. I started making these colors five years ago to help create shortcuts for mixing colors. These are the colors I mix and use together so often that I don't want to spend time pre-mixing them when I paint. I just want them ready to use in the exact proportions that work for realistic painting.
My goal was not to create an artificial multitude and variety of new-looking colors but to share my go-to useful mixes that save time when painting. If you like fresh, bright palettes and struggle with mixing realistic colors (reds, greens, and yellows) that end up looking too bright and saturated in the finished artwork, convenience colors can help. They can tone down primary colors and make them look more natural without adding mud to your palette and art.
A convenience color set would be useful for anyone who practices realistic painting (any subject) and would make a great addition to any palette.
These colors are unique to my shop. I developed them myself based on practical needs for realistic painting. They are not repeats of any other colors you might have from other brands and makers. (This makes them great for gifting - you will definitely surprise the recipient, even if they have hundreds of colors in their collection.)
These colors have been tried and tested in various painting scenarios and have proven their usefulness. If you haven't tried any of these convenience colors yet, I highly recommend adding one or two—or all of them—to your bright primary color palette.
Tin boxes and magnets are available separately. See "Boxes & Pans" category for all options.
