Burnt Ultramarine is a convenience color made of a combination of Burnt Umber and Ultramarine Blue. This color was created to represent "black" in a palette. It looks like a dark warm gray-black, but there is no black in it, which ensures that there will be less mud in color mixes.
The color is rich, lightfast, and transparent.
