Handmade watercolor made of iron oxide.
Transparent Red is a beautiful, light, yet rich color with amazing fine granulation that is easy to pick up and disperse in washes. Being so light and transparent, this color works great in mixes where it adds warmth and granulation without being overwhelming. It looks similar to Red Earth, but it’s much more delicate and has more orange undertones vs. brownish heavily granulating Red Earth.
The color is highly saturated and rich. It is lightfast and transparent.
